Demo-OR
Location
University Reutlingen
Faculty of computer science
Special technical or clinical focus
- Teaching and research OR
- Optimization of models, processes and system landscapes for the intelligent OR of the future
Access policy
Access only with prior consent
Medical equipment list or highlights
In the Demo OR is a proprietary OR1 system from Karls Storz, which is connected with various libraries of individual OR components via SDC:
- an SDC-KNX interface which allows the room lighting to be controlled via SDC
- an SDC-capable OR lamp
- patient monitors with SDC interface
- an electrocautery is prototypically integrated via SDC
- Vector’s tool for analyzing and simulating SDC
- a connector box from TZM that will speak SDC in the future
- A demo use case from GADV (mock-up) for displaying device availability and status in the washroom
- This is used by an architecture for situation recognition to acquire intraoperative data
Description
Innovative medical technology systems and clinical processes are no longer conceivable without a strong integration of information technology. The trend towards personalized medicine is increasingly making it possible to make patient-specific treatment decisions and implement them using suitable device technology. Optimized models, processes and system landscapes for the intelligent operating theatre of the future – based on newly developed international standards – are required in order to meet the increasing demands on clinical assistance systems. Solutions for this are being developed and researched in the teaching and research OR of the Faculty of Computer Science.
