”Run SDC” – OR.NET at 15. Healthcare Economy Conference

Members of the OR.NET e.V. association took part at the session “Medical Technology meets Network: A Relationship with Future!” in course of the 15. Healthcare Economy Conference (15. Gesundheitswirtschaftskongress) in Hamburg at 18.09.2019. Martin Kasparick form the Institute of Applied Microelectronics and Computer Engineering (IMD) of the University of Rostock and deputy chair of standardization of the OR.NET association opened the session. With the Motto “Run SDC” he introduced the new IEEE 11073 Service-oriented Device Connectivity (SDC) Standards. After the interesting presentations, the experts and users had an inspiring panel discussion. Moderated by Oliver Grieve (Public Relations Officer, University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein), Martin Kasparick (IMD, University of Rostock), Thomas Teckentrup (Company Dräger AG), Andreas Arbogast (Managing Director Isar Klinikum, Munich) und Dr. Andreas Follmann (Department of Anaesthesiology, University Hospital RWTH Aachen) discussed the current and future developments of manufacturer-independent interconnected medical devices in the hospital with focus on operating room and intensive care unit.
